William was born on September 22nd, 1784 in Bryan`s Station, KY. William's father was Peter Morgan Scholl and his mother was Mary Bryan Boone. His paternal grandparents were William Scholl and Leah Morgan; his maternal grandparents were Edward Neddy Boone and Martha Bryan. He had a sister named Charity Ann.
