Gustav Von was born on April 14th, 1633 in Wittenstein. Gustav Von's father was Johannes Von Sayn-Wittgenstein-Hohenstein and his mother was Anna Auguste Von Waldeck-Wildungen. His maternal grandparents were Christian Von Waldeck-Wildungen and Elizabeth Von Nassau-Siegen. He had a brother and a sister, named Friedrich Von and Auguste Von. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 67 on June 22nd, 1700.General Notes
