Eleonore De was born about 1273. Eleonore De's father was Amadeo V De Savoie and her mother was Sibylle De Bauge. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas II De Savoie and Beatrice Fieschi; her maternal grandparents were Guy II De Bauge and Dauphine De Lavieu. She had two brothers and a sister, named Edouard De, Aymon De and Agnes De. She was the oldest of the four children. She had two half-sisters named Catherine De and Jeanne De.
