Catherine De was born about 1298 in Brabant, Belgium. Catherine De's father was Amadeo V De Savoie and her mother was Marie De Brabant. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas II De Savoie and Beatrice Fieschi; her maternal grandparents were Jean I De+ Brabant and Marguerite De+ Dampierre. She had a sister named Jeanne De. She was the older of the two children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Edouard De, Aymon De, Eleonore De and Agnes De. She died on September 30th, 1336 in Rheinfelden.General Notes
