Margaret was born about 1452 in Clifton, Cheshire, England. Margaret's father was John IV Savage and her mother was Catherine Stanley. Her paternal grandfather was John III+ Savage and her paternal grandmother is Eleanor+ Brereton; her maternal grandparents were Thomas+ Stanley and Joan+ Goushill. She had three brothers and a sister, named John, Christopher, Edward and Catherine. She was the second oldest of the five children. She died in 1525.General Notes
