George Hobson was born in 1822 in NC. George Hobson's father was Jesse Rushton and his mother is Rachel Hobson. His paternal grandfather was William A. Rushton and his paternal grandmother is Mary Dougherty; his maternal grandfather was George III Hobson and his maternal grandmother is Elizabeth Radcliffe. He had a brother and two sisters, named William R., Rachel Dorothy and Elizabeth. He is the second youngest of the four children.General Notes
