Francois XII De La was born on January 11th, 1747 in La Roche Guyon. Francois XII De La's father was Louis De La Rochefoucauld and his mother was Marie De La Rochefoucauld. His paternal grandparents were Charles De La Rochefoucauld and Marie Henriette D' Aloigny; his maternal grandparents were Alexandre De La Rochefoucauld and Elizabeth De Bermond Du Caylar.
