Mary Polly was born on February 3rd, 1810 in Madison Co., KY. Mary Polly's father was John+ Rennels and her mother was Nancy+ Ewing. Her paternal grandparents were Winthrop+ Rennels and Nm+ Hutchins; her maternal grandparents are Nm+ Ewen and Drucilla Grissa+ Tincher. She had five brothers and five sisters, named James+, William Henry Harrison, Thomas Scott, John Jr., Martin, Anna, Jane Ginsey, Baby, Sarah and Armilda.
