John Polk

John was born about 1804. John's father was William III Polk and his mother was Hannah Hobson. His paternal grandparents were William II Polk and Sabra Bradford; his maternal grandparents were Jonathan William Hobson and Sarah Williams. He had four brothers and two sisters, named James, Nathaniel, Robert, William H., Sarah and Martha. He is the oldest of the seven children.
