James Polk

James was born after 1806. James' father was William III Polk and his mother was Hannah Hobson. His paternal grandparents were William II Polk and Sabra Bradford; his maternal grandparents were Jonathan William Hobson and Sarah Williams. He had four brothers and two sisters, named John, Nathaniel, Robert, William H., Sarah and Martha. He is the second oldest of the seven children.
