Joan was born on July 22nd, 1210 in Courcy, Alsne, France.  Joan's father was John+ Plantagenet and her mother was Isabelle Taillefer D'+ Angouleme.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry II+ Plantagenet and Alianor D'+ Aquitaine; her maternal grandparents were Aymar III Taillefer D'+ Angouleme and Alix De+ Courtenay. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Henry III+, Richard+, Isabel+ and Eleanor+.  She was the third oldest of the five children. She had four half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Richard Plantagenet+, Hugues XII De+, Geoffroi De, Guillaume De Valence De+, Joan+, Marguarite De, Agnes De, Isabelle De and Alice De Brien+.  She died at the age of 28 in 1238 in London, Middlesex, England.  She was buried in Tarrant, Keynstan, Dorsetshire, England.
