George Smith Patton 
George Smith was born on June 26th, 1833 in Fredericksburg, VA. George Smith's father is John Mercer Patton and his mother was Margaret French Williams. His maternal grandparents are Isaac Hite Williams and Lucy Slaughter. He was an only child. He died at the age of 31 in September 1864 in Battle of Winchester, VA.General Notes
"VMI Class of 1852, standing 2nd in a class of 24, after graduation studied law and practiced in Charleston WVA. He was killed at Battle of Winchester, VA."
