Margaret was born about 1554. Margaret's father was Laurence Oliphant and her mother was Margaret Hay. Her paternal grandfather was Laurence Oliphant and her paternal grandmother is Margaret Sandilands; her maternal grandfather was George Hay and her maternal grandmother is Margaret Robertson. She has a sister named Elizabeth. She is the older of the two children.General Notes
