Peter Livengood 
Peter was born on March 3rd, 1759 in New Hanover Twp., Philadelphia, PA. Peter's father was Peter Livengood and his mother was Anna Eva Linderman. His paternal grandparents were Hans Jacob Liebengut and Ann Margaretha Schafer. He had a brother and four sisters, named George, Mary Magdalena, Catherine, Barbara and Sarah. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 80 on November 14th, 1839 in Green, PA.General Notes
Peter was enlisted as a private U.S. Army under Capt. Langlis, Frederick Co., VA. He marched to Bound Brook NJ and joined Regt. Col. James Woods, VA. He was taken prisoner at Charlestown, SC in May 1780 and kept until June 5, when he made his escape and got home. Sworn before David Gray May 1st 1820.
