William Lewis 
William was born in 1735 in Locust Hill, Albemarle Co., VA. William's father was Robert Lewis and his mother was Jane Meriwether. His paternal grandparents were John Lewis and Elizabeth Warner; his maternal grandparents were Nicholas II Meriwether and Elizabeth Crawford. He was an only child. He died due to pneumonia. at the age of 44 on November 14th, 1779 in Albemarle Co., VA.General Notes
