His paternal grandfather is Diego Manrique De Lara and his paternal grandmother was Juana De Mendoza; his maternal grandfather was Fadrique De Castilla and his maternal grandmother is Leonor I De Castilla. He has two brothers and three sisters, named Pedro Manrique De, Garcia Manrique De, Beatriz Manrique De, Leonor Manrique De and Ines Manrique De.
