Ruth was born on May 18th, 1769. Ruth's father was Thomas Jessop and her mother was Mary Beals. Her paternal grandparents are Thomas Jessop and Sarah Small; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Beals and Sarah Antrim. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Isaac, Nathan, Ester, Sarah and Patience. She is the second oldest of the seven children. She has a half-sister named Ester.General Notes
