Jane was born in 1565 in Farleigh, Hungerford, Somerset, England. Jane's father was Walter Hungerford and her mother is Anne Dormer. Her paternal grandfather was Walter Hungerford and her paternal grandmother is Susan Danvers; her maternal grandfather was William Dormer and her maternal grandmother is Mary Sydney. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Edward, Edmund, Lucy and Susan. She is the youngest of the five children.General Notes
