Robert was born about 1485 in Wycombe, Buckshire, England. Robert's father was William Dormer and his mother was Agnes Wydeville. His paternal grandparents are Geoffrey Dormer and Ursulla Collinridge; his maternal grandparents were Richard+ Wydeville and Jacquette De+ Luxembourg. He had a half-sister named Agnes.
