Joel Holcombe 
Joel was born in 1743 in Prince Edward Co., VA. Joel's father was John Holcombe and his mother is Eleanor X. His paternal grandfather was Richard Holcombe. He had six brothers and a sister, named Zachariah H., Isaac, Harmon, Jeremiah, Hosea, John and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 66 in 1809 in New Madrid District, Louisiana Territory.General Notes
