John Hinshaw 
John was born on June 23rd, 1828 in Randolph Co., NC. John's father was Simon Hinshaw and his mother was Rebecca Hobson. His paternal grandparents are Thomas Hinshaw and Rebecca Marshall; his maternal grandparents were Charles Hobson and Sarah Beck. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Zeno, Charles, Thomas, Enan, Nathan, Phebe, Morilla and Delilah. He was the second youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 73 on February 7th, 1902.General Notes
