Charles was born in 1697 in Richmond, VA. Charles' father was John+ Grymes and his mother was Alice+ Townley. His paternal grandparents were Charles Grymes and Catherine X; his maternal grandparents were Lawrence+ Townley and Sarah+ Warner. He had a brother and two sisters, named John, Elizabeth Lucy+ and Ann. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 56 on December 1st, 1753 in Morratico, VA.General Notes
