Arthur was born about 1562 in Meikle Wardis. Arthur's father was Alexander Forbes and his mother is Beatrice Abernethy. His paternal grandfather was John Forbes and his paternal grandmother is Jean Keith; his maternal grandfather was Alexander Abernethy and his maternal grandmother is Nm Stewart. He has a brother and a sister, named Alexander and Mariot Anne. He is the youngest of the three children.General Notes
