Richard Eastin 
Richard was born about 1758. Richard's father was Phillip Eastin and his mother was Elizabeth Douglas. His paternal grandparents are Jean or Joachim? D'+ Estaing and Nm+ X; his maternal grandparents are John Douglas and Judith Moorman. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Phillip Jr., Johnson, Elizabeth, Judith and Frankie. Richard served as Captain in the Revolutionary War. He is listed as being commissioned on February 16, 1776 as 1st Lieutenant in Capt. Thomas Berry`s Company of the 8th Virginia Regiment of Foot, commanded by Col. Abraham Bowman. He was reportedly at Valley Forge with his first cousin Lt. Philip Eastin (son of Thomas Eastin) for a time. He is listed as resigning his commission on June 7, 1778.
