Columbus Calmese Eastin 
Columbus Calmese was born on June 17th, 1828 in Oil Springs, Clark Co., KY. Columbus Calmese's father was Thomas Eastin and his mother was Mariam Calmes. His paternal grandparents were Augustine Eastin and Judith Crouch; his maternal grandparents are Marquis Calmes and Priscilla Hale. He had two brothers and a sister, named Marcus A., Thomas Hale and Priscilla. He was the youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 64 on March 21st, 1893 in Oil Springs, Clark Co., KY.General Notes
Columbus followed agricultural pursuits, and owned 800 acres of land in Powell, Montgomery, and Clark Counties, principally timbered land and for many years engaged in sawmilling, dealing chiefly in hard lumber.
