Margaret was born in 1529 in Scrivelsby, Lincolnshire, England. Margaret's father was Edward Dymoke and her mother was Anne Taillebois. Her paternal grandfather was Robert Dymoke and her paternal grandmother is Anne Sparrow; her maternal grandparents were George Taillebois and Elizabeth Gascoyne. She had a sister named Frances.
