William Courtenay

William was born about 1425 in Powderham Castle, Devonshire, England. William's father was Philip+ Courtenay and his mother was Elizabeth+ Hungerford. His paternal grandfather is John+ Courtenay and his paternal grandmother was Joan+ Champernoun; his maternal grandparents were Walter+ Hungerford and Katherine+ Peverel. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Philip+, Walter, Anne, Elizabeth, Catherine+ and Philippa. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died in September 1485.
