Walter Courtenay 
Walter was born about 1438 in Powderham, Devonshire, England. Walter's father was Philip+ Courtenay and his mother was Elizabeth+ Hungerford. His paternal grandfather is John+ Courtenay and his paternal grandmother was Joan+ Champernoun; his maternal grandparents were Walter+ Hungerford and Katherine+ Peverel. He had two brothers and four sisters, named William, Philip+, Anne, Elizabeth, Catherine+ and Philippa. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He died on November 7th, 1505.General Notes
