Pierre De was born about 1241. Pierre De's father was Jean De+ Bourgogne and his mother was Isabelle De Courtenay. His paternal grandparents were Etienne III De+ Bourgogne and Beatrice De+ Thiers; his maternal grandfather was Robert I De+ Courtenay and his maternal grandmother is Mahaut De+ Mehun. He had two brothers named Jean De and Etienne De. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Hugues De+, Jean De, Elizabeth De, Marguerite De and Agnes De.
