Giustina was born on September 5th, 1691 in Twin. Giustina's father was Carlo Borromeo and her mother was Camilla Barberini. Her paternal grandfather was Renato Borromeo and her paternal grandmother is Giulia Arese. She had two sisters named Teresa and Maria Maddalena. She was the oldest of the three children.
