James was born about 1726.  James' father is Thomas Binford and his mother is Elizabeth X.  His paternal grandfather is James Binford.  He is an only child.

They had five sons and three daughters, named John Moseby, Benjamin, James, Samuel, Thomas, Martha, Nancy and Sarah Moseby.
