William Francis was born on January 12th, 1866 in Hutton Twp., Coles, IL.  William Francis' father was Solomon I. Beavers and his mother was Suzannah Strader.  His paternal grandparents are William L. Beavers and Nancy Brandenburg; his maternal grandparents were Vincent Strader and Patience Stewart. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Matthais, Henry, James W., Vinson Thomas, Charles P., John W., Laura Ann, Margaret June, Emeline V., Nancy Jane and Minnie Caroline.  He was the sixth oldest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 67 in 1933 in Coles, IL.
