David Bates 
David was born on September 25th, 1698 in Hingham, Plymouth, MA. David's father was Caleb Bates and his mother was Mary Lane. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Bates and Esther+ Hilliard; his maternal grandparents were Josiah Lane and Deborah Gill. He was an only child.
