William+ Basset 
William+ was born in 1134 in Sapcote, Leicestershire, England. William+'s father was Richard+ Basset and his mother was Matilda De+ Ridel. His paternal grandparents were Ralph+ Basset and Agatha De+ Brus; his maternal grandfather was Geoffrey Galfridus De+ Ridel and his maternal grandmother is Geva Lupas D'+ Avranches. He had three brothers and a sister, named Geoffrey+, Ralph+, Jordan De Ridel+ and Sibyl+. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 51 in 1185.General Notes
