John Barnett 
John was born on January 1st, 1748 in Hanover, VA. John's father was John Barnett and his mother was Sarah McCann. His paternal grandparents were John Barnett and Catherine Farrar. He had a brother named Arthanacius. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 50 in 1798 in Amherst, VA.General Notes

John and Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony on September 12th, 1767. They had two sons and three daughters, named Thomas W., Arthanacius, Obedience, Ann and Martha.
