George Barnes 
George was born on July 31st, 1796 in Wilkes Co., NC. George's father was Solomon Barnes and his mother was Elizabeth Isbell. His paternal grandparents were Brinsley+ Barnes and Sarah Elizabeth Barry+ Lindley; his maternal grandfather is Ebenizer Isbell. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John, Solomon, Peter, Reubin, Mary Carley, Ruth, Rachel and Lydia. He was the youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 51 on January 3rd, 1848.General Notes
