Herman I D'+ was born about 1138. Herman I D'+'s father was Albrecht I De Bar D'+ Ascanie and his mother was Sophie Von+ Winzenburg. His paternal grandparents were Otton D'+ Ascanie and Eilika Von+ Sachsen; his maternal grandparents were Hermann I Von+ Winzenburg and Hedwig Von+ Weimar. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Otto I Von D'Ascanie+, Bernard III D'+, Sibylle D'+ and Hedwige D'+. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died in 1176.-
