Caleb was born in April 1646 in Rehoboth, Bristol, MA. Caleb's father was Robert III Abell and his mother is Johanna X. His paternal grandfather was George Abell and his paternal grandmother is Frances Cotton. He had a brother named Preserved. He was the younger of the two children.
