Tantalus' father is Zeus and his mother is Pluto. His paternal grandparents are Chronos and Rhea; his maternal grandfather is Atlas. He has nineteen half-brothers and nine half-sisters, named Herakles, Perseus, Dionysus, Epaphos, Arcas, Pelasgus, Argus, Asopus, Apollo, Ares, Hephaestus, Minos, Aethlius, Orchomenus, Iasion, Lacedaemon, Hermes, Ammon, Aeacus, Eris, Athena, Polyhymnia, Clio, Harmonia, Harmonia, Aphrodite, Lethe and Orseis.
They have a son named Pelops.
