Olav was born in 0992 in Ringerike, Buskerud, Norway. Olav's father was Harald ("the Greenlander") Gudrodsson and his mother is Asted of Upplands. His paternal grandfather was Gudrod Bjornsson; his maternal grandparents are Earl Gundbrand Kul of Upplands and Ulfild. He was an only child. He died at the age of 38 on July 29th, 1030 in Stiklestad, Norway.-
