His paternal grandfather was Count Nuno ("Rasura") Nunez of Castile and his paternal grandmother is Argila de Castrogeriz; his maternal grandfather was Count Diego Rodriguez Porcelos of Castile and his maternal grandmother is Asura Ansurea. He was an only child. He died at the age of 69 in 0932.-
