King Antiochus ("the Preserver") I of Syria 
Antiochus, known as "the Preserver", was born in 0324 BC. "the Preserver"'s father was King Seleucus Nicator I of Syria and his mother is Princess Apama II of Bactria. His paternal grandparents are General Antiochus of Macedonia and Laodike of Syria; his maternal grandfather was Setrap Spitamenes of Bactria and his maternal grandmother is daughter of Bithynia. He had two brothers named Antiochus and Achaeus. He had a half-sister named Phila. He died in 0261 BC.General Notes
Note: Antiochus I, called Soter ("the preserver") (324-262 or 261 bc),king of Syria (280-262 or 261 bc). The second of the Seleucids,he was the son of Seleucus I, one of the generals and successorsof Alexander the Great. In 275 bc Antiochus won a victory overthe Galatians in Asia Minor but lost considerable territory toPtolemy II. He was killed in battle during a war (263-261 bc)against Eumenes I (reigned 263-241 bc), ruler of Pergamum inAsia Minor.
