Achaeus was born in 0320 BC.  Achaeus' father was King Seleucus Nicator I of Syria and his mother is Princess Apama II of Bactria.  His paternal grandparents are General Antiochus of Macedonia and Laodike of Syria; his maternal grandfather was Setrap Spitamenes of Bactria and his maternal grandmother is daughter of Bithynia. He had two brothers named Antiochus and "the Preserver". He had a half-sister named Phila.  He died in 0267 BC.
