Charles III was born in Fountainebleau, France.  Charles III's father was Capet, King of France Philip III and his mother was Isabel Princess of Aragon Princess.  His paternal grandparents were King of France Louis IX and Marguerite Berenger , Countess of Provence; his maternal grandparents were , King of Aragon Jaime I and Yolande Arpad , Princess of Hungary. He had three brothers and a sister, named Prince France, Capet, King of France, Prince France and Blanche. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Louis Cmte and Queen of England.  He died on December 15th, 1325 in Le Perrey nr. Rambouillet, France.

‌Charles III and Margaret were married in a religious ceremony on August 16th, 1290 in Corbiel, Marne, France.  They had two sons and a daughter, named Philip VI, Charles II Comte and Jeanne.
