Adela was born about 1124.1 Adela's father was III Duke Alencon Guillaume and her mother was Duchess of Alencon Alice. Her paternal grandparents were Robert II De Belleme 3rd Earl of Shrewsbury and Agnes De Ponthieu; her maternal grandparents are of Alencon Eudes and of Alencon Maud. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Guy II, Richard, Thurston, Clemence and Ela. She was the youngest of the six children. She died on December 4th, 1174 in Priory Of, Bradenstoke, Wiltshire, England.1 General Notes
