Jacob Marshill 
Jacob was born on September 2nd, 1745 in Chester Co., Pennsylvania.1 Jacob's father was John Marshall and his mother was Ruth Hadley. His paternal grandparents were Jacob (Marshill) Marshall and Ann Griffith; his maternal grandparents were Joshua Hadley and Mary Rowland. He had six brothers and four sisters, named William, John, Benjamin, Joseph, Isaac, Abram, Ann, Ruth, Sarah and Hannah. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 72 on April 26th, 1818 in Orange County, North Carolina.1 -

Jacob and Margaret were married in a religious ceremony on March 19th, 1767.2 They had four sons and five daughters, named William, Francis, Jacob, John, Ruth, Ann, Elizabeth, Margaret and Mary.

Ruth was born on March 17th, 1770 in Orange County, North Carolina.3 She died at the age of 69 on December 6th, 1839 in West Union, Indiana.3
