Gruffydd ap Llewelyn Prince of Deheubarth

Gruffydd ap was born about 1011 in Rhuddlan, Flintshire, Wales.¹   Gruffydd ap's father was Llywelyn ap Seisyll Prince of Deheubarth and his mother is Angharad Verch Maredudd.  His maternal grandfather is Maredydd Ap Owain. He had a brother named Griffith Gruffydd Ap.  He was the younger of the two children. He had four half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Caradawg ap, Rhiwallon ap, Bleddyn ap, Rhiwallon Ap, Angharad verch, Iwerydd verch, Nest verch, Angharat Verch and Lwerydd Verch.  He died on August 5th, 1063 in Wales.¹ 

‌Gruffydd ap and Ealdgyth 'Swan-neck' Of were married in a religious ceremony about 1050 in England.¹   They had five sons and a daughter, named Griffith ap, Maredudd ap, Idwal ap, Owen ap, Ithell ap and Nest verch.
