Lwerydd Verch was born about 1024.  Lwerydd Verch's father is Cynfyn Brenin Ap Gwerystan and her mother is Angharad Verch Maredudd.  Her paternal grandparents are Gwaithford Ap Gwaithfoed and Nest Verch Cadell; her maternal grandfather is Maredydd Ap Owain. She had two brothers and a sister, named Bleddyn ap, Rhiwallon Ap and Angharat Verch.  She is the second oldest of the four children. She had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Griffith Gruffydd Ap, Gruffydd ap, Caradawg ap, Rhiwallon ap, Angharad verch, Iwerydd verch and Nest verch.
