Hawise was born about 1246 in Drayton, Staffordshire, England. Hawise's father was John de Grey and her mother is Anne de Ferrers. Her paternal grandfather was Reginald de Grey and her paternal grandmother is Maud FitzHugh; her maternal grandparents were sir William de Ferrers and Anne le Despenser. She was an only child. She died in 1353.-
