Gertruda of Poland

Gertruda of Poland was born in 1020 in Krak+óow,Poland.  Gertruda of Poland's father was Mieszko II and her mother was Richeza (Rixa) of the Palatinate.  Her paternal grandfather was Boleslaus I and her paternal grandmother is Conilde; her maternal grandparents were Edzo Count of Palatine on Rhin and Matilda of Saxony. She had a brother and a sister, named Casimir I and Ryksa (Rixa) of Poland.  She was the youngest of the three children.  She died at the age of 87 on January 4th, 1107.

‌Gertruda of Poland and Isiaslav I Grand Duke of Kiev were married in a religious ceremony in 1043.  They had a son named Svyatopolk II.
